Centertracker deluxe comes with a filter package of over 50 filters. The package includes:

filters can be applied at the same time and in different orders (the order defines the result of mixing several filters)

please note: the more filters you apply at the same time the longer processing takes!

as an extra feature many filters can be applied to only a certain area in the frame which is defined in the settings 2 window. This is especially useful if you want to show the difference between the applied filter and the original or if you want to create some cool special effects.

you can overlay two different videos in combination with the dissolve/ ghostify filters. It's done very easily. Simply choose 'process two videos' in the starting window and then apply the desired filter.

(check box 'specify overlay area' in the starting window): here you ''paint'' the areas you want to become transparent for the 2nd video (see video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kISmNwI1bU).

It is also possible to position and resize the overlay video. To do this only three steps are necessary:

first set any of the dissolve or ghostify filters to the desired transparency and paint/ select an overlay area:

 

         

in step 2 you can adjust the position of the overlay via the sliders position x and position y (you want the flower to appear centered in the overlay area).

if you also want to resize the flower (here it is partly not visible due to the small size of the overlay area) you use the resize slider to adjust the size (step 3).

that's all! You can now start processing the video or apply additional filters.

 

Keying

Alternatively you can choose a certain color and range around that color which you want to become tranparent for the 1st video. This method is known as keying.

how it's done:

First you choose the following settings in the starting window.

 

After you have chosen two video files the video shown in the preview window will be the one you have chosen first. Now set the dissolve slider to the desired value. In this case it is 255 which means that the second video becomes fully visible.

          

Next you pick a color via the combination CTRL and right mouse button. Then you set the range of the R G B values until the color which you want to replace has almost vanished.

You can repeat the procedure for any remnants as long as the colors you want to save stay visible. In this case one additional color section was picked. Finally you can set the blur slider(s) to the desired value in order to smooth edges.

   

Adjust the other settings according to your needs and then start processing by clicking a key.

all filters are highly adjustable, i.e. you can use the sliders to increase/ decrease the respective effect. In the next update you will be able to apply the filters to only user-selected frames, i.e. not to the whole video (which is default).

filter encrypt / decrypt | verschlüssen / entschlüsseln:

decryption quality depends on compression (no compression yields 100% quality (no loss of information)), see example video.

For a level 3 encryption the user chooses a combination of 10 values. The chosen combination is necessary to decrypt the video. Theoretically the number of cominations is video width to the power of 5 times video height to the power of 5. Example: a video with the dimensions 720 x 576 (as in the example below) offers 12268031975831920390963200000 possible combinations which makes it pretty hard to decrypt without knowing the values :D

Für eine Level 3 Verschlüsselung wählt der Benutzer eine Kombination von 10 Zahlen. Die gewählte Kombination ist nötig um das Video zu entschlüsseln. Theoretisch errechnet sich die Zahl der möglichen Kombinationen zu Videobreite hoch 5 mal Videohöhe hoch 5. Beispiel: ein Video mit den Dimensionen 720 x 576 (wie im Beispiel unten) bietet 12268031975831920390963200000 mögliche Kombinationen was es ziemlich schwierig macht, es zu entschlüsseln wenn man die Werte nicht weiß!

filter 8-bit style / 8-bit Modus:

remember good ol' Commodore C64 and its memorable 16 color graphics with those huge pixel blocks? If you are a bit nostalgic like me, what about this filter which simulates this graphic style of the VIC processor. Available are two modes: the first mode allows any of the 16 colors for any of the pixels. Mode 2 keeps to the restrictions originally set by the C64 hardware which is a maximum of two colors per 8x8 pixels, hence mode 2 looks a bit more ''blocky''.

Wenn Sie etwas nostalgisch sind wie ich, wie wär's dann mit diesem Filter, der den Grafik-Style des VIC Prozessors simuliert? Verfügbar sind 2 Modi: der erste erlaubt für jeden Pixel eine der 16 Farben. Modus 2 hält sich an die Beschränkung, daß maximal 2 Farben pro 8x8 Pixel erlaubt sind, sieht daher also etwas ''blockiger'' aus:

this filter replaces the video with its graphical data. The first row shows overall values for the frame. The second row shows line data and the last row shows column data (identifiers as shown in ''settings'' window)
